Bottega Maddaloni was founded by Vincenzo Maddaloni. The master, very young, began his artistic career taking inspiration from the most famous sculptors of the 18th century, such as Giuseppe Sanmartino, Giuseppe Gori, Lorenzo Mosca, dedicating himself fully until it became a real job. He married Maria Ciaramella, with whom he shared a passion for clay. In 1950, they founded their own shop, Bottega Maddaloni.

Today the shop is managed by his daughter Filomena who produces the shepherds according to the high quality standards achieved by her parents. The "flies", 3 centimeters high figurines, and the larger shepherds, 30 centimeters tall, all modelled, hand painted and dressed in prestigious fabrics.
In Bottega Maddaloni you can find characters from the Neapolitan popular tradition, such as Pulcinella, Lo Scartellato, Totò, Eduardo De Filippo and nativity scenes of different sizes and a wide range of accessories of all sizes to be able to create any scene of the classic Neapolitan Nativity Scene.
